 Ashville Elementary is a rural school serving approximately 480 students in grades K-4. AES is a Title I school initially accredited in 2001 by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and achieved renewal certification through SACS in the spring of 2007. The school provides a curriculum based on national and state standards. Through federal funds and grants, education for all students is enhanced with various types of technology and after-school programs. AES is an Alabama Reading Initiative school and has participated in the new Alabama Math, Science, and Technology Initiative program during the past two years. Ashville Elementary School consistently scores above the national average on mandated assessments and remains on academic clear status with the State Department of Education.
