Welcome
Ashville Middle School is a Title I school accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Approximately 350 students are lead by a faculty and administration that is committed to excellence. Expect It! Believe It! Achieve It! has become our motto. Students of Ashville Middle School consistently score well on standardized assessments and the Alabama Direct Assessment of Writing Strong academic and exploratory classes support the curriculum of AMS. Through exploratory classes our students have the opportunity to participate in art, chess, dominoes, strategic games, health, and choir. Additional activities at Ashville Middle include athletic teams, clubs, drama, choir, band, and our newly formed archery team.
In its first year of competition, the archery team finished 3rd in the state. In this first outing an AMS male student finished 5th out of 203 students, and a female student finished 3rd in the state with 4 earning top ten honors. Ashville Middle School is located on campus adjacent to Ashville High and Ashville Elementary schools at 33221 U.S. Highway 231 in Ashville, approximately 20 miles southwest of Gadsden.
