We are unique! We are only one of a few K-12 Schools in Alabama. We offer a hometown atmosphere with a first class education. The teachers, faculty, students and parents all know each other and share in the goals and accomplishments of all. Teachers maintain an interest in each child’s education from grades K -12.

Ragland School is a rural school with a population of approximately 650 students in grades K-12. We have a racially mixed population – 84% Caucasian, 15% African American, less than 1% each Asian and American Indian.

At the beginning of the 2002-2003 school year, we began a comprehensive assessment of the educational needs of all children enrolled as part of our school wide improvement plan. We have implemented many programs to enhance the learning experience for every child. The faculty focuses on researched based strategies the help each and every child succeed.
