Due to the recent proliferation of certain viruses
world wide, it is necessary for us to upgrade the version of Symantec
Antivirus engine that we use on our computers. I am having you complete
the local computer phase of this while I concentrate on our servers.
Upon completion of your steps below your computer's antivirus program
will be "pointing" to a server called "Sandbox" this is ok. When all
computers in the county are complete I will re-point them back to your
local domain's server. Follow these simple steps below to update your

- Ensure all (critical)
Microsoft Windows Updates have been preformed on your computer. If
you have Automatic Updates turned on (which you should) look on the
bottomright portion of your screen an click on the icon and apply all
updates. Follow the instructions given, and repeat until there are no
more updates to do.
- Click here Upgrade your
Symantec Antivirus and
follow the instructions. This will install the newest version of
Symantec Antivirus. After installation is complete it will take up to
10 minuites to finalize the installation.
- If you have Windows Defender installed and it is giving you
an error message, feel free to remove this program from Control
Panel and then Add/Remove Programs.
- If any of these steps are not successful please enter a Service
